Project Overview:

For this project, we were asked to design some new or improved in-store customer experiences when it comes to traditional in-person grocery shopping.

Key Findings:

Investigation/Background Research:

Some of the pros and cons of the current in-person shopping experience in comparison to the online shopping (Notice the cons outweigh the pros).

Pros:

Cons:

Interviews:

We interviewed some shoppers about their thoughts on current in-person shopping experiences and how it could possibly be improved upon. Here are the main takeaways from our interviews:

<aside> 💡 The major takeaways from our interviews are that consumers want a faster and more efficient in person shopping experience. Customers commonly face issues with long lines and technical issues during checkout. While in person shopping, people like to pick up and compare items and look at different coupons and deals. Interviewees are drawn to the idea of a faster checkout process by having the ability to scan and bag items in their cart as they shop.
